Where is Timber Town based?
We are based in Knysna, Western Cape, South Africa, where all our solid pine furniture is crafted.

Do you offer free delivery?
Yes! We currently offer free delivery on qualifying orders within South Africa.
Certain remote or very rural areas may be excluded, which will be communicated before dispatch.

How long does delivery take?
Orders are typically:
Processed within 3–7 working days
Delivered within 2–5 working days after dispatch
Delivery times may vary depending on your location.

Do you ship internationally?
At this stage, we only ship within South Africa.
Do you offer collection instead of delivery?
Yes! You’re welcome to collect your order directly from our Knysna workshop by appointment.
Select “Collect from Timber Town (Knysna)” at checkout.

Can I view your products in person?
Although we do have a workshop in the Knysna Industrial area, we do not have a retail showroom.
Timber Town operates as a strictly online store, and our workshop is closed to the public for health and safety reasons.

Do your beds and furniture come assembled?
Most of our furniture is supplied flat-packed for safe transport.
However, assembly is simple and straightforward:

Is it difficult to assemble your furniture?
No — our products are designed to be easy to assemble.
With the help of our step-by-step assembly videos, most customers find the process simple and manageable with basic tools.

Why are your bed frame sizes bigger than the mattress sizes?
Our bed frame dimensions are slightly larger than the standard mattress sizes because they account for the full structure of the bed, including the frame thickness and legs.
The mattress fits perfectly inside the frame — the dimensions shown simply reflect the total footprint of the bed.

What wood do you use?
All our furniture is made from solid pine, selected for strength, durability, and affordability.
Are your products treated?
No. All Timber Town products are made from 100% natural solid pine and are supplied untreated, without any paint, varnish, lacquer, or sealant applied.
This gives you the freedom to finish your furniture to your own taste if you choose.

Should I treat or paint my Timber Town furniture?
This is completely up to you.
Our pine furniture is:
Well sanded
Smooth to the touch
Ready to use as-is
You may choose to:
Leave it natural
Paint it
Seal it
Or stain it
There is no requirement to treat the furniture for indoor use — it comes down to personal preference.

What if something arrives damaged or missing?
If your order arrives damaged, incomplete, or incorrect, please contact us within 48 hours with photos and your order number.
We’ll arrange replacement parts or a solution as quickly as possible.

Can I return a product?
Yes, we offer a 30-day return window for unused items in original packaging.

Can the beds be disassembled again after assembly?
Yes. Our beds are designed so that they can be disassembled and reassembled if you need to move or relocate them.

What weight can your beds support?
Our solid pine beds are designed for everyday use and comfortably support normal adult and child weight.
If you require specific load ratings for a particular product, feel free to contact us.
Are mattresses included?
Unless explicitly stated on the product listing, mattresses are not included with bed frames

Can I customise a product?
Some of our products can be customised.
Please contact us directly to discuss your requirements before ordering.

Do you offer bulk or school/reseller orders?
Yes! We accommodate bulk orders for schools, hostels, guesthouses, and resellers.

How do I know which mattress size to choose?
Each product page clearly specifies the compatible mattress size.
